About Brea Herring
I was raised in a deeply spiritual environment, taught from an early age to listen for the voice of the Divine and to seek meaning beyond what could be seen. As I grew older, I began to question and deconstruct many of the religious frameworks I was given, but never lost the desire to remain in relationship with something greater than myself. That longing to connect, listen, and understand became the thread that wove through everything that followed.
My path into metaphysics started quietly through long walks in the woods, storms that felt like they were meant just for me and those moments when something living appears unexpectedly and carries with it an unmistakable sense of meaning. The feeling that you were meant to see something, right then, for a reason. Those encounters shaped how I understand signs and synchronicity as moments of whispered wisdom.
As my curiosity deepened, so did my relationship with the unseen. I spent time working in a mortuary, an experience that profoundly shaped both my intuitive development and my understanding of grief, impermanence, and compassion. Being present with people in moments of profound loss taught me how to hold space in a way that honors both the raw reality of the human experience and the deeper questions that suffering often brings forward. That time sharpened my mediumistic sensitivity, but more importantly, it grounded my work in humility, ethics, and care.
Throughout the years, I have studied closely with experienced practitioners in metaphysics and eclectic spiritual traditions, learning not only the art of channeling but also how to serve as a guide for those who seek truth. I believe it is possible, and necessary, to honor what the human body is experiencing while also acknowledging the soul’s desire for meaning, growth, and awareness. Sometimes all we can do in moments of great difficulty is remain present, allow the experience to move through us, and listen for what it may be shaping within us.
I am drawn to structure as much as mystery. As someone with a background in applied science, the depth and specificity of the full natal chart appealed to my desire for data and objectivity as an academic. The intricacy of astrology appealed to both my intuitive and analytical mind. It offered a framework that gave language and form to experiences that often feel vague or ineffable. Studying astrology independently and fervently for over a decade has continually reinforced my sense of awe at how precisely a chart can mirror the inner life and lived experience of a person.
Tarot entered my life shortly after, and I experience it as a complementary language. I approach tarot with a grounded, realistic lens, seeing it not as prediction, but as a reflective tool that helps illuminate what is already in motion. The reliability of these symbolic systems, when approached ethically and responsibly, is what continues to inspire my work.
My practice focuses on natal astrology, synastry astrology, and tarot, including in-depth spreads such as the Celtic Cross. These tools allow us to explore inner dynamics, relational patterns, and situational influences with clarity. I am always careful to emphasize that the future is not fixed. The work is not about speaking over someone’s life, but about offering insight that supports conscious choice, much like a map that helps orient you without dictating where you must go.
Ongoing spiritual counseling, when done responsibly, builds trust not in the practitioner, but in oneself. Over time, many people discover that the insights offered simply confirm what they already sense intuitively. These systems act as mirrors and training wheels, helping cultivate self-awareness, discernment, and confidence in one’s own inner knowing.
Ethics, reverence, and responsibility are central to my work. Being invited into someone’s inner world is an honor I do not take lightly. I approach spiritual counseling with the same seriousness and care that any helping profession demands. The words of another great teacher, Carl Jung, have been my constant mantra, “Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch a human soul be just another human soul.”
